Well Water Treatment

Well water treatment in Berks, Lancaster & Chester counties

Private well water needs its own approach. Pennsylvania doesn't regulate private wells, so testing and treatment are up to the homeowner. We design systems for iron, manganese, sulfur smell, acidic water, hardness and bacteria.

What we treat

Iron & manganese. Orange and black staining on sinks, tubs, toilets and laundry, and a metallic taste.

Sulfur smell. That rotten-egg odor caused by hydrogen sulfide.

Acidic water & bacteria. pH correction to protect your plumbing, and UV disinfection to treat bacteria without chemicals.

How we approach well water

Start with an estimate. Your free online water report shows what wells near you typically carry. It's a starting point, not a diagnosis.

Then we test your actual water. Wells differ from one property to the next, so we measure hardness, iron, manganese, pH and dissolved solids at your home, and recommend lab testing for bacteria when it makes sense.

A system built from your results. Your test decides the build, and each stage is installed in the right order, like filtration before UV, so it works properly.

Built for farm and country homes. We know rural properties and the wells that serve them.

One base system. Add-ons only if your water needs them.

Well water pricing starts from one base system at a set price. Your water test tells us whether anything needs to be added, so you know the total before we install.

Simple from start to finish

How it works

1

Get your free online estimate

Enter your address for a free water report in seconds. It's an estimate based on your water company's records or on wells near you, not a test of your own water.

2

We test your actual water

On a well, we test your water for free before we recommend a build, because two wells on the same road can be very different. On city water, a test is optional.

3

Get a clear price

Every system starts from a base package at a set price. On a well, add-ons are included only if your test calls for them. City water is usually a simple quote by phone.

4

Installation and ongoing care

We install your system cleanly, show you how it works, and let you know when filters and service are due.

Good questions

Well Water Treatment: common questions

Can you quote my well system without a test?

We can give you the base price by phone and tell you which add-ons are likely from your online water report. We confirm the final build with a test of your actual water before we install, so you don't pay for treatment you don't need.

How often should I test my well?

A common recommendation is to test for bacteria at least once a year, and anytime the taste, smell or color changes.

What causes the rotten-egg smell?

Usually hydrogen sulfide gas in the water. It can be treated with the right filtration system.

Is UV disinfection safe?

Yes. UV light treats bacteria without adding chemicals to your water.
