City water treatment in Berks, Lancaster & Chester counties
Public water is treated to meet federal standards, but by the time it reaches your tap it can still carry chlorine or chloramine, hardness and contaminants picked up from older pipes. We help city water homes get water they actually enjoy drinking.

Common city water concerns
Chlorine & chloramine. Used to disinfect public water. It keeps water safe in the pipes but leaves a chemical taste and smell.
Older plumbing. Homes built before 1986 may have lead pipes, solder or fixtures that can leach into water.
PFAS & hardness. Man-made chemicals have been detected in water supplies across Pennsylvania, and many areas have hard water.
How we treat city water
Whole-home carbon filtration. Reduces chlorine and chloramine at every faucet and shower.
A water softener if needed. Stops scale and spots if your water is hard.
Reverse osmosis for drinking water. Purified water at the kitchen sink that reduces lead, PFAS and dissolved solids.
City water is the straightforward one.
Your water company treats and tests its water and publishes the results, so we already know most of what's in it from your address.
What we already know
Its PFAS and lead results and any safety violations on record. Your free online water report pulls these for your address.
Optional. If you'd like us to test at your tap first, it's free.
How we quote it
Whole-home carbon filtration, a softener where the water is hard and reverse osmosis for drinking water, sized to your household.
A set package price, usually quoted by phone without a home visit.
How it works
Get your free online estimate
Enter your address for a free water report in seconds. It's an estimate based on your water company's records or on wells near you, not a test of your own water.
We test your actual water
On a well, we test your water for free before we recommend a build, because two wells on the same road can be very different. On city water, a test is optional.
Get a clear price
Every system starts from a base package at a set price. On a well, add-ons are included only if your test calls for them. City water is usually a simple quote by phone.
Installation and ongoing care
We install your system cleanly, show you how it works, and let you know when filters and service are due.
City Water Treatment: common questions
Do I need a water test on city water?
Usually not. Your water company's published results tell us most of what we need, so we can recommend a system from your online water report and quote it by phone. If you'd like us to test at your tap first, it's free.
If my water is treated, why filter it?
Treatment makes water safe to drink at the plant. Filtering at home improves taste and smell and reduces what's picked up along the way.
Will a filter remove chloramine?
Standard carbon filters struggle with chloramine. We use filtration media designed to handle it.
Can I just do my drinking water?
Yes. A reverse osmosis system at the kitchen sink is a great place to start.
